Armada Coaching Staff

Yesterday we learned that the upcoming swim meets on the Armada Calendar have been cancelled:
3/21-22 Hills Hurricane Swim Meet
4/2-5 Far Western Championships

These meets are important events for our swimmers and represent days/weeks/months of preparation. We are disappointed they won’t have the opportunity to perform at their best at these meets but we must act in the best interest of their health and safety. Take this time to commend and congratulate your athlete on all the levels of success they have achieved this season.

ARMADA Practice: The Albany Aquatic Center is part of the Albany Unified School District. We are aligned with the Albany Unified School District and as of Friday morning they have not cancelled school which would likely impact the pool being open and our practice schedule. We will keep you posted on any changes to the workout schedule.

Below I included link to a statement from the Superintendent of the Albany Unified School District as well as a statement from the Hills meet director. I provided a few other links from the State of California, USA Swimming and the Acalanes School district.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these most unprecedented times:

Hills Hurricane Meet:
Due to the growing concern for the spread of COVID19 there has been numerous recommendations and mandates by the State of California, Acalanes School District, and USA Swimming that we cancel our meet. We are sorry to cancel and wish the swimmers could have swam. Refunds will be refunded back to your credit card through Fastswims. Please allow 7-9 business days, the refunds will not include the service fees. If you mailed a payment by check, we will refund you back through the mail. We look forward to having you attend our meets in the future.
Thank you,
Hills Hurricane Swimming
